More Miami Restaurants to Choose From | Collins Pub News

Our game plan for this month includes a FIVE hour Downtown pub crawl, a romantic late night dinner in a secluded garden and a sexy lingerie fashion presentation at one of South Beach's brand new hot spots. If you're still feeling energetic, check out DJs Steve Lawler and Tiesto as they bring out the heavy artillery for the club kids at SoHo and LIV. Local foodies are raving about new Miami restaurants, plus the opening of American Noodle Bar where a popular SoBe chef has just launched his latest venture in Miami. Order yourself some Cuban coffee, cancel your Monday meetings, and have a great weekend!

Nexxt Cafe / 700 Lincoln Road / The table space surrounding Euclid Circle is prime people watching territory on Lincoln Road Mall. Get a front row seat and enjoy the huge portions of American comfort food at this popular diner where tourists, locals and pampered pooches start the morning under the swaying palms.

Mandolin Aegean Bistro / 4312 NE Second Avenue / Make a reservation on the patio and taste the delights of Turkish and Greek cuisine like tender grilled octopus, mussels in wine and garlic and mezze small plates to pair with a reasonably-priced bottle of wine. With friendly service and a casual vibe, it is no surprise that getting a table takes a little advanced planning.

Van Dyke Cafe / 846 Lincoln Road / A Block Party celebrating Michael Jackson's Thriller (plus various dead rock stars) kicks off tonight at 8pm along Jefferson Avenue and Lincoln Road Mall with live music by Tony Succor and a 12 piece salsa band. Dress in your best costume, bring the kids (and a camera) and get ready to win fabulous prizes all night long.

STK / 2377 Collins Avenue / Enjoy the cool party atmosphere at this trendy South Beach steak house where DJ Keidy fills the air with dance beats and a great looking crowd works the catwalk style entrance. When they tell you this is not your daddy's kind of restaurant, they mean the joint combines the best of dinner AND a red hot party under one roof.

Solea / 2201 Collins Avenue / Surviving the departure of it's big name chef, Solea brushes off the doubters with Michael Gilligan's prix fixe three-course dinner through November 15th. Select from four appetizers, four entrees and two desserts for a very tasty $45 including a Maine lobster, shrimp and monkfish stew that was so good we nearly couldn't finish the dark chocolate mousse for dessert.

Chalan / 1580 Washington Avenue / Small ethnic eateries offer a taste of local culture and Chalan's savory Peruvian cuisine is some of the best on the beach. With portions large enough to share, you and an adventurous friend can try a number of the daily specials and discover how delicious the seafood, meats and mixed rice dishes can be.

Truluck's / 777 Brickell Avenue / Fast becoming a hot happy hour destination on Sundays when the discounted bar prices are available ALL day long, this brand new Miami seafood spot chops half off the drinks and snacks for thirsty travelers and 25% off bottled wine.
